Data Deletion Request

Last updated: 7 September 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of data held by The Define Ink in connection with the WhatsApp messaging portal (the “App”), including any information we received through Meta’s APIs.

How to request deletion

Email surbhi@thedefineink.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”.

Please include the following so we can locate your records:

We may ask for reasonable additional information to verify your identity or your authority over the account before we act on the request.

What gets deleted

Once a request is verified, we delete the data we hold for your account, which can include:

Deleting your access token stops the App from being able to send or receive messages for your account.

Timing

We acknowledge requests promptly and complete verified deletions within 30 days. If a request is complex and needs longer, we will tell you.

What we may need to keep

Some records may be retained where retention is required or permitted by law, or where they are needed for security, fraud prevention, resolving disputes, or enforcing agreements. Anything retained on those grounds is kept only for as long as that purpose applies.

Note that message data held by Meta on the WhatsApp Business Platform is controlled by Meta and by your own WhatsApp Business Account, not by us. Deleting data from the App does not delete records held in your Meta Business account or in WhatsApp Manager.

Removing the App's access yourself

You can revoke the App’s access to your WhatsApp Business Account at any time from your Meta Business settings, under Business settings → Users → System users, or by removing the App from the connected assets in your business portfolio. Revoking access immediately stops the App from making further API calls for your account.

Revoking access does not by itself delete data we have already collected. To have that deleted, send the request described above.
